Hot take that’ll surprise no one, the Fiesta ST is hilarious fun to drive. I haven’t broken it in yet but already it’s one of the best driving cars I’ve ever owned.
Who’da thunk? When you give a tiny little car a bunch of power and a slick stick it’s a ton of fun? Amazing.
One complaint thus far? My right knee started hurting because I started hitting the side of the center console. Solution?
Now i’m perfect!

Huh, my manual said specifically that there was no break in process. Other than not holding rpms.

Yeah I’m not driving it like a break-in but according to my fiesta st buddies, the engine really perks up around ~1000 miles.
I’m only @ 650 in two weeks :(

Some people prefer to not beat on it until after the first oil change.

I dunno about that! Apart from Chevy not being my cup of tea, It’s not exactly a performance car.
and I mean Ford > Chevy save for vette

solution is to amputate your knee.

haha yeah I debated it. But this wedges between the seat and console, is black and red and it works very well

I broke 1000 within a week. I’m at 10,700 at almost exactly 6 months. I somehow still have a decent amount of tread on the Potenzas at that.

The first recommended change is at 5k lol. The dealer looked at me like I was a dumbass when I brought it in a 1k miles. It explicitly states it in the manual that it doesn’t need broken in.

lolol nice! What year is yours? I was surprised to see mine came with Pilot Sport AS/3s instead of Potenzas

The dealer told me to wait until 5k as well. I thought 1k was when I should get the first change, then the rest would be on the normal schedule at 5, 10, 15, etc. Of course, I’ve only done one in 1.5 years. At the rate I’m going I’ll barely get my second change before the 2-year anniversary of buying the car.

2016. I think it depends more on location than year model. I live in South Carolina, so all seasons are less of a requirement. I’ve heard pretty good things about the AS3's though. I wish they made Pilot Super Sports in our size.

Since I did it at 1k, I’m on change 3.

You should try one on fresh summers. I’ve gotten them to squeal once. Once. And that was going at a relatively high rate of speed on a mountain road. It was the one time I got the car to really understeer, and it was completely controllable, I just let off and it rotated back into place. I love it. I’ve talked to E46M owners who have driven both, and they are believers.

I really got to try one of these.
